The EU development bank should commit to Human Rights
The European Investment Bank (EIB) is currently reviewing the upcoming Environmental and Social Sustainability Framework (ESSF), which will be adopted in the coming months. In meanwhile, Arab Watch Coalition with its members around the MENA region and several Human Rights organisations sent several joint reports and concrete recommendations, urging the Bank to adopt serious policies and standards in its future operations.
An open letter was sent today to Werner Hoyer, President of the EIB and a joint statement on Human Rights recalling the bank to take more drastic steps to be the European Development Bank.
